Meet Our Pack

Three unique personalities, one big family, and a love for Bernedoodles that started it all.

Hey, I’m Tyler.

I’m a husband, dad, dog dad, and the person behind The Dog Dad Method. For us, dogs aren’t just pets; they’re family. Bluey, Bandit, and Rusty bring laughter, adventure, and a lot of love to our home.

Our love for Bernedoodles grew from the bond we built with Bluey. That family story grew into a breeding journey, and it continues to shape the care and responsibility we bring to raising puppies.

The three who started it all

Each has a different personality and a special place in our family’s story.

Bluey, a merle Bernedoodle and mama to her puppies

The heart of our pack · mama to our puppies

Bluey

Merle Bernedoodle · sweet, devoted, nurturing

Bluey is more than just the mama of our puppies. She is the dog who started it all for our family and introduced us to the incredible love, personality, and companionship that make Bernedoodles so special.

As the eldest dog in our pack, Bluey has a special presence in our home. She loves being close to her family and has a sweet, affectionate nature that makes her a wonderful companion. She is a natural part of our family’s everyday life and the foundation of the pack we have built.

One of the things we love most about Bluey is the way she embraces motherhood. She is an attentive, loving, and devoted mama, and watching her care for her puppies has been one of the most rewarding parts of our journey.

Bluey is Bandit’s mama, following her unforgettable singleton pregnancy, and she is also the proud mama of our current litter with Charlie. Watching her grow into motherhood and seeing her puppies develop their own personalities has only strengthened our love for this breed.

Bluey represents everything we value in a family companion: affection, connection, personality, and the special bond that grows between a dog and the people who love them. Bluey is where our story began, and she will always hold a special place at the heart of our journey.

Bluey’s firstborn · a possible future prospect

Bandit

Traditional tri-color Bernedoodle with copper points · playful and affectionate

Bandit holds a very special place in our family. He is Bluey’s firstborn son, born from her unforgettable singleton pregnancy. Being her only puppy from that pregnancy made his arrival especially meaningful for us, and watching him grow is a journey we will always treasure.

Bandit is a traditional tri-color Bernedoodle with striking copper points. But his personality is just as special as his looks. He is playful, incredibly affectionate, and happiest when he gets to spend time with the people and dogs he loves.

One of Bandit’s sweetest qualities is his close connection with both his birth mama, Bluey, and his human mama. Their bond is something special to witness, and he has a way of making it clear that being close to his people is one of his favorite things in life.

Bandit’s genetic testing is complete, and we are considering potential future stud opportunities as he matures. Before entering our breeding program, he will need to complete the appropriate health clearances and evaluations. His health, temperament, and overall well-being will remain priorities as we determine whether he is ready for that next step.

For now, Bandit is first and foremost a beloved member of our family. He represents the next chapter of our story, a meaningful connection to Bluey, a personality all his own, and a potential future contribution to our breeding program.

Rusty, a merle Bernedoodle and the family’s playful Uncle Rusty

Uncle Rusty · professional goofball

Rusty

Merle Bernedoodle · silly, playful, affectionate

Every pack needs a little personality, a lot of laughs, and a dog who knows how to make an ordinary day more fun. For us, that is Rusty, affectionately known as “Uncle Rusty.”

Rusty is our silly, lovable merle Bernedoodle who keeps our family laughing with his playful spirit and entertaining personality. He brings his own special energy to the pack and reminds us that life with dogs is about the everyday moments, the funny things they do, and the connections that grow over time.

Rusty has an especially strong bond with our children. Our son and daughter are his people, and seeing the connection they share is one of the things we love most about him. He is a wonderful reminder of the role dogs can play in a family: companions, playmates, comfort, and constant sources of joy.

Unlike Bluey and Bandit, Rusty is not part of our breeding program. He is here simply to be loved, enjoy life with his family, and keep everyone entertained. He is a pet, a companion, and an important member of our pack.

And honestly, every pack needs a Rusty. Uncle Rusty reminds us why we do this in the first place: dogs make a house feel more like home, bring families closer together, and create memories that last a lifetime.

More Than a Pack — We’re Family

Bluey, Bandit, and Rusty each have their own personality, their own special place in our home, and their own part in our story. Together, they represent what The Dog Dad Method is all about: a genuine love for dogs, a family-first approach, and a belief that the right dog becomes so much more than a pet. They become part of your everyday life, your best memories, and your family.

Our goal is to share that same kind of love with families who welcome one of our puppies into their homes. For us, this has never been just about raising puppies. It’s about helping other families find a companion they’ll love for a lifetime.
